Dragon’s T-34/76 Model 1940 in 1/35th Scale (Kit # 6092)

• Molding and parts breakdown is good.
• Separate link tracks are provided in kit.
• Tool boxes, jacks, tow cable ends and nylon cord for cables are provided.
• Two color schemes are shown in full color instruction sheet. Instructions are
easy to follow.
• Good quality, thin decals are provided with a selection of tactical numerals (all
in white).
• Clear lenses provided for twin headlights.
• Full Christie suspension and detailed underside provided.
• Sponsons are blocked off.
• Basic gun breech is provided, no other interior details.

Pros:
1. Very accurate kit of significant version that was only available in the past by
doing extensive conversion or using a resin conversion kit.
2. Accurate dimensions when compared to older Tamiya T-34/76 kits.
3. Has accessories that are unique to the early T-34s and the track type correct for this early version of T-34.

Cons:
1. Separate link track quite difficult for most modelers, will require significant level of skill to work in sags without problems in alignment and so forth.
2. Rear grill is only provided as a solid plastic piece and is not very convincing because of the size of the mesh.
3. Limited marking options and color schemes for this version.

Recommendations:
This is an excellent kit that is well worth buying. Because of the difficulties in dealing with separate link track, I can only recommend this kit to experienced armor modelers. Advanced modelers will probably want to replace the rear deck grills with PE parts as this would improve the look of this area greatly. There are a number of resin interior and engine kits available that should be readily adaptable to allow open hatches. Friulmodel produces a pinned separate link track of the early type used in this kit that should be much easier to deal with than the tracks that come with the kit. Overall an excellent kit as is that can be the basis of a show stopper.
